Last weekend the girl’s golf team made history. Since the sport began here in the 1980s, they have never made it (as a team) out of sectionals and into regionals. Thanks to this year’s team, that has changed. After barely escaping the clutches of sectionals the girls’ team left Friday afternoon for Greenwood, where Regionals are held. After taking a few practice shots at the course they headed to their hotel to rest for the night. Heading to the Smock Course at eight in the morning, they got ready for their history-making match. Finishing as a team with a score of 422, they were lead by Madeline Parker (11) with a score of 97.
