Monthly meet-ups for FCA

Fellowship of Christian Athletes, or better known as FCA is a Christian based club that is targeted for athletes to participate in fellowship and grow in their faith. The club was started this year by Jordan Shuler (12) and it is new to Scottsburg High School this year.

Their goal is to do an activity every month and for the month of October the Club held a bonfire. The night consisted of eating, playing various pick up sports games, talking, and ended with a devotion led by Eric Mullins and music played by Curtis White.

“It was all really cool. Mr. Mullins was inspirational and Curtis was really good. Plus I kicked butt at basketball,” said Oliver Froembgen.

The next activity is yet to be planned, but they ensure that their will be one and encourage everyone to show up and have some fun while learning about Christ. Some of their future events will be a 5th quarter basketball game and a FCA lock in.

“I really encourage anyone and everyone to show up. Whether it be athletes or just people wanting to worship, you’re all welcome to come and enjoy a fun night,” said Shuler.
