Homecoming for the 2016-17 school year will be Jan. 12 for the girls’ court and Jan. 13 for the boys’ court. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will select two boys and two girls from each grade to walk on the court. Five senior girls and five senior boys are selected to walk for the senior class. Students will vote for a prince and princess, which will be announced at the homecoming dance. Only the nominated seniors are in the running for king and queen, which will be revealed on Jan. 12 and 13.
Emma Waskom (12) was crowned princess at the 2015-16 homecoming dance. Waskom said, “I was very surprised and honored to win. It was a very fun night and winning princess was just the icing on the cake.”
Each nominee will be escorted by a varsity basketball member of their choice. Nomination papers are at the front office. They will need to have 10 different student signatures and a teacher recommendation for the student you are nominating. Nomination forms are due Dec. 9. Winter wonderland will be the theme for this year’s homecoming.
