Girl’s Soccer team falls short to Southwestern

The Warriorette soccer team kicked off against Southwestern on Sept. 7. The
Warriorettes lost 1-2 after a hard fought battle.

Varsity head coach, Matt McGlothlin said, “It was a tough one, because we dominated
possession most of the game and just couldn’t put the ball in the net.”

The Warriorette team consists of several new players with little experience with the
sport. Coach McGlothlin stated, “Kynleigh Watson, who has never played soccer before, had our only goal last night. We are also getting great play from Kaitlynn Jennings on defense and this is her first year.”

The team is currently 0-7, but predicts some wins left on the roster. The girls continue to
improve and learn as they prepare for their sectional the first week of October.
