SHS football became first to score on undefeated Silver Creek

On Sept. 15, Scottsburg returned home to face undefeated Silver Creek. The Dragons brought with them a strong running game and a fierce defense that had not given up a single point in their previous four games. The Warriors were up to the challenge early, ending the streak with a forty yard TD by #21 Hunter Myers with less than a minute off the clock in the first half, tying the score in the first quarter 7-7. This would be the only TD of the first half for the Warriors, as Silver Creek pulled away and led 27-7 at the half.

In the second half, both defenses were on display as both teams were held scoreless until the last minute of the game. Warriors were lead on defense by #7 Skylar Combs who recorded 7.5 tackles. Scottsburg was able to move the ball consistently on offense, finishing with 257 total yards, but failed to capitalize when in scoring position.
