The cheer team has a very busy schedule ahead of them. So far, the team has competed in two competitions in which it has gotten 2nd place at both, along with a best choreography award at the first.
The team’s next competition is on Oct. 22 at Providence High School, where the team hopes to improve upon its score from the previous competitions. The regional competition is on Oct. 28, and the State and Time-Out competition is on Nov. 4.
Other than score improvements and making it to state, the cheer team has some other long term goals for later in the season.
“The team plans to go to UCA regionals, which are on Nov. 11 and Nov. 19, and hope to also achieve a bid to go to Nationals in Disney World this upcoming February,” according to Head Coach Klarinda Tutterow.
Along with the team’s multitude of competitions, the team also attends all of the home and away varsity football games and have big plans for the upcoming basketball season.
