Rough start to boys’ soccer season

Since the beginning of their 2018-2019 season, the SHS boys’ soccer team has played a total of four games, and also participated in the IHSAA Soccer Referee Clinic Matches in Madison, Ind. and the Boys’ Soccer Jamboree at home.

The current record is 1-2-1. On Tuesday, Aug. 14, the boys lost 0-3 to Bedford North Lawrence High School. However, their next game against Christian Academy Aug. 18, ended in a tie, 1-1. The boys lost to Madison High School on their third game on Aug. 21. The score ended up being 0-2. At their most recent game on Aug. 25 against South Ripley High School, the boys took home the win with a final score of 6-0.

The boys have two more games coming up in August. One is home on Aug. 28 against Henryville High School and the other is home against Charlestown High School on Aug. 30.
