Warriorette cross country team running into big meets

In the past week, the Warriorette cross country team has competed in two races. One of which was a huge race that they had never ran in before, and the other was a familiar meet.

On Saturday, Sept. 1, the team ran in the Columbus North Classic meet. This was the biggest race they had raced in this season, with over 200 girls running together at the same time. This was not a race they were trying to win, but one they were just trying out. They placed 12th out of 37 teams.

Lyndie Foster (11) said, “This is a huge and new meet, and we are not going to win, we are going to for the experience.”

On Thursday, Aug. 30, the girls ran at the North Harrison Invitational. The team placed tenth out of 18 teams. Leading times for Scottsburg were Lyndie Foster with 24.23.9, Eliza Mount with 25.19.7 and Baylee Comer with 25.56.5.
