Warriorette cross country cross boundaries to meet their goals

Warriorette cross country is still running hard and achieving new goals. The past week has been filled with mud and senior recognition.

On Tuesday Sept. 4, the team hosted their only home meet, The Scottsburg Invitational at Hardy Lake. The team placed fourth out of seven teams with an average time of 27:35.60.

Also at the invitational, the girls’ acknowledged their three seniors: Eliza Mount, Savannah Fettig and Baylee Ashley.

Saturday Sept. 8 they raced at the Eagle Classic in Brown County. Placing 17th out of 19 teams. The leading time for the girls was Baylee Comer (11) with 25.59.

Kristen Skelton (10) described the meet as “muddy and cold with puddles that went up to my knees.”
