Continuing its season, the Warrior cross country team competed at two meets in the last week. At Jennings County on Tuesday, the boys placed fourth with an individual 13th place win from Tristan Rowland (10).

On Saturday, the team traveled to Crawford County High School to compete in one of the bigger meets of the season. This meet consisted of over 30 teams, some from as far away as Noblesville, IN. It is also one of the only meets SHS attends that divides the runners by grade level, where underclassmen boys race together, and upperclassmen boys run a different race.

Rowland took home an eighth place medal in the sophomore division, earning 15th in his race. The most challenging thing for him was keeping a steady pace throughout the course and getting over the steep hills.

“This is the most difficult course of the year,” said Patrick Lincoln (12).
