Registration for 4H is now open for grades 3-12

Registration to join 4-H in Scott County is now open. Registration is online at. and the enrollment fee is $15. With 3,962,319 members and counting, 4-H is a global organization that engages youth to show talents and potential through projects and leadership. It can also help interest and give experience to youth wanting to go into certain career paths. 4-H members have the choice to participate individually or join a club. There is a club for just about each township in Scott County to choose from. Clubs will have meetings about once a month to discuss upcoming events, deadlines, and help with projects.

4-H has many different clubs to choose from. Members can do livestock projects where they take care the animals at home and then bring them to the fair to exhibit and show. Animal project options in Scott County include: pigs, cows, goats, sheep, rabbits, chicken, turkeys, peacocks, ducks, geese, pigeons, horses, ponies, llamas, alpacas, dogs, and cats.

There is also a huge list of different projects to choose from to choose from that may fit your interests or talents. 4-H is highly encouraged because of its impactful qualities of leadership, responsibility, and opportunities it provides. 4-H also gives out several scholarships each year to members. 4-H is open for youth grades 3-12, and mini 4-H is for children too young to join regular 4-H.
