Toy Story has held up among many other children movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The franchise currently has three movies. The third movie grossed more than a billion dollars, which is more than the first and second movie combined, according to forbes.com.
With so much money being made, it would only make logical sense that Disney would make a fourth Toy Story movie.
The third movie ended with Andy, the toys’ owner, dropping all of his toys off at a younger girl’s house so she can make use out of them. Andy is moving off to college and his parents would just put his toys into storage or throw them away. Throughout the movie, the main characters such as Buzz, Woody, Rex, Slinky, Jessie and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head try to think of how they can go with Andy to college. A lot of people think that this was a perfect ending to the trilogy.
“I thought the third movie had a perfect ending. There is no need for another movie, but I’m being optimistic,” said Fee Diaz (12).
Toy Story 4 is set to be released on June 21, 2019 in all cinemas, including IMAX cinemas.
