The SHS Drama Club has put in many long hours, a few late nights and a ton of hard work into the upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast. On Friday, April 5, the Drama Club had a dress rehearsal where they ran through the entire musical start to finish.
On April 10, members of drama met at school at 3 a.m. to perform some of the scenes from the musical for WLKY. According to sponsor Ms. Sara Denhart, the purpose of filming for the news was not only to promote, but to promote to our county that we have talented students involved with this production.
If you would like to watch the production of Beauty and the Beast, make sure to buy your tickets for the select date you plan to attend. The dates are, April 12 and 13 at 6:30 p.m, April 14 at 2:30 p.m., April 19 at 6:30 p.m., and April 20 at 2:30 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtime and all shows are at McClain Hall stage.

Beauty and the Beast is the largest production by the Drama Club so far. “The amount of involvement in this show has been outstanding,” said Izzy Myszak (12). Myszak is the choreographer for the play.
“We are excited for people to come out and see this play. I think people will be excited to see all the things we have in store for this production,” said Mrs. Denhart.
