FFA brought the 2018-2019 year to an end with their annual banquet. The banquet took place this past Sunday where there was an awards ceremony and next year’s officers were inducted.
President Jaiden Herald (11) said, “Banquet gives the officer team a chance to award the hard work and dedication that our members employ throughout the year.”
The awards consisted of Most Improved Officer, Outstanding Officer, Workhorse Award, Wow Award, Outstanding Member, Star Greenhand Award, Star Discovery Award, FFA Scholars, Community Service Award and fruit sales awards.
All members that met requirements received the degree for their grade and how many years they have participated in the club. These degrees include the Discovery, Greenhand, Chapter and State/Hoosier degree.
All members that competed in forestry, livestock judging, horse judging or in the district leadership contest were awarded.
Herald said, “The officer team and myself are extremely proud of Jarrett Richey, Alek Babbs and Jacob Perkinson. We award Jarrett the Outstanding Service award, Alek the Wow Award and Jacob the Workhorse Award. Throughout the year they have shown tremendous work ethic, dedication and passion for the FFA. We are grateful for their hard work and were honored to award them this weekend.”
