The girls golf team qualified for the regionals by placing in the top three at Sectionals. Coach Bob McGannon mentioned Avery Bottorff’s (12) performance at Semi-State. She shot a 90, being the lowest medalist.
“Everyone has to perform well in order to have a team victory. Individually they can go out there and compete, but if they compete to do the best that they can for the team victory, then we are successful,” McGannon said.
“I believe that regionals went well, and I played my best like always, ” said Makayla Barger (11).
The girls golf team has had a great season so far, and they are hoping for the best at regionals. McGannon said that it is one of the best seasons he has coached so far.
“[The] season is going great [and is] one of the best seasons in school history. [The players] have been extremely competitive in all their matches,” said Athletic Director Jamie Lowry.
