Both the girls and boys bowling teams concluded their seasons on Jan. 11 with their sectional competition. The girls team placed second and advanced three members to regional in individual competition.
“The girls season went very well. We have been conference champs the past two years. We fell short at sectionals, but I couldn’t be happier getting to compete with these girls,” senior Kristin Hosea said.
The boys team placed third at sectional.
“Our season went pretty well considering we didn’t always have everyone there. We ended up almost making it to regionals, but just fell short to two great teams,” junior Cole Atha said.
Seniors Grace Cannon, Paige Hall and Kristin Hosea advanced to regional on Jan. 18.
“Regional was very fun, it was a great experience to bowl with girls from different schools,” Canon said.
Hosea advanced to semi-state, on Jan. 25., where she fell short of advancing to state by 11 pins.
“It was amazing to be able to advance to semi-state my senior year. I felt very accomplished ending my high school career. I couldn’t ask for a better season,” Hosea said.
