Soccer season is still kicking it, and so are your Warriorettes. Though COVID-19 has definitely taken its toll on many sports, soccer has been one of the lucky few to continue on playing without interruption.
With this season, underclassmen girls soccer players try their best to make sure the seniors have a good year.
“Our goal this season is to let our seniors have a memorable senior season,” junior Mella Neace said.
The team does not lack when it comes to building friendships, working toward becoming a family. They have been especially keen on growing off and on the field as a whole.
“I think my best memory so far is getting to know the girls on the team and getting to play with them on the field and building a relationship outside of that,” Neace said.
As the memories continue to grow so do the opportunities with more games on the horizon for the Warriorettes — things like the Warriorette Cup and sectionals.
“I’m looking forward to playing Austin and sectionals.” sophomore Chloe Scott said.
The Warriorettes have had their fair share of both victories and losses this season; so far, they have a record of 4-4.
As the season begins to close, the players will remember how they grew together as a team and made this year a memorable one.
“The season has been a blast so far,” sophomore Deanna King said.
